    NUCA's 3rd Scholarship Cornhole Tournament 

    This fundraiser benefits the NUCA of Colorado Scholarship Fund. Last year we were able to award 5 scholarships to NUCA Member dependents and we hope to do even more this year! 

    The tournament will be held on Wednesday March 22nd at a new
    location that just opened up The 
    Basketball Social House in Centennial.  

    Register your team of 2 and join the Cornhole Community in what will definitely be an epic adventure into the world of Cornhole! Please consider a sponsorship with your registration, it's for a good cause!

Describes the principals of effective communication, applying the management grid and using communication skills to create a leadership environment. Discusses behavioral and nondiscriminatory interviewing and professional development of personnel. Cover issues surrounding disabled workers, sexual harassment, gender and minority discrimination, child labor laws.

    Issues and Resolutions: Describes the key elements of successful negotiations and negotiating techniques. Explains how to recognize nonverbal signals, use negotiation tools, and how to apply conflict resolution strategies. Identifies symptoms and barriers to solve project related problems and identifying root cause consequences and solutions.

    Construction Documents: Covers the importance of documentation, and explains the types of documents, drawings, and specifications used on a jobsite. Covers best practices regarding revisions and obsolete drawings. Covers methods of obtaining work in the industry and types of contracts and insurances needed.

    Construction Planning: Covers the importance of formal job planning and creating a performance-based work environment. Covers the work breakdown structure as the foundation that identifies deliverable tasks and time. Introduces the basics of quality control and defines the responsibilities of an effective team and how to allocate resources.

    Estimating and Cost Control: Covers the importance of accurate estimating and summarizes the estimating process and the steps to develop and estimate. Covers the importance of cost control methodology and explains how to simple cost analysis. Covers the role in controlling cost and tracking rework costs.

    Scheduling:  Covers the basics of scheduling from simple to do list to bar charts, network diagrams and methods of managing resources. Discusses the importance of formal scheduling, job planning and establishing priorities.

    Resource Control: Covers how resources must be controlled, factors that affect production control and standards. Defines production and productivity and how to improve production, control and productivity.

    Quality Control: Covers quality control and quality assurance and stresses the managements concerns about quality. Explains quality management and how to develop and effective quality control plan. Discusses how to identify, asses and measure weakness to avoid rework.

    Continuous Improvement:Covers the leader’s role in creating a culture of continuous improvement. Explains the fundamentals of a continuous improvement program and how to identify the critical problems and processes that require improvement, implement a continuous improvement process and measure results. Covers the importance of satisfying internal and external stakeholders.
